Dr. Zachary Zimmer, Government of Canada Research Chair, Tier 1, Professor of Aging and Family Science, and Director of the Global Aging and Community Initiative, has been named Co-Principal Investigator on a major new research project, “Cognition After Armed Conflict: Creation of a Harmonized Cognitive Assessment Protocol (HCAP), an Examination of ADRD Risks Related to War Exposure in the Vietnam Health and Aging Study.” Funded by the National Institute on Aging, the project received $3,265,106 USD to examine cognitive aging and related dementia (ADRD) risks associated with war exposure through the Vietnam Health and Aging Study.
