A new paper, The Rise and Prominence of Skip-Generation Households in Lower-and Middle-Income Countries,” by GACI Director Zachary Zimmer and Emily Treleaven of the University of Michigan documents a global increase in skip-generation households – that is, grandparents living with grandchildren with the middle generation absent.  This suggests an important change in household formation among older persons around the world.” The paper is now out in print at https://doi.org/10.1111/padr.12349
