Clove Haviva, PhD, Postdoctoral Scholar – Global Aging and Community Initiative (GACI) at at Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU). Dr. Clove Haviva joined the Global Aging and Community Initiative in 2018, after receiving her PhD in Psychology from the University of Manitoba. She is a health psychologist, conducting research on physical health and well-being, from social psychology and personality psychology perspectives. She has studied the influences on health of spirituality, religiosity, laughter, optimism, meaning in life, a sense of control over one’s life, social support, gratitude, peacefulness, social comparison, and personality. She is interested in what allows people to thrive while living with chronic illness and aging. She especially enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary research team.
Brittney Roughan, MSc, Program Manager – Global Aging and Community Initiative. Brittney has been with the GACI since its founding in 2016. She holds a MSc in Environmental Science from St. Francis Xavier University and a BSc in Environmental Science from McGill University. Brittney also serves as the MSVU University Delegate for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
