Brittney Roughan is the Program Manager for the Global Aging and Community Initiative at Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU). She holds a MSc in Environmental Science from St. Francis Xavier University and a BSc in Environmental Science from McGill University. Before she joined the MSVU team in August 2016, Brittney worked as a Program Coordinator for Summerhill, an energy efficiency delivery agent in the city of Halifax. Prior to obtaining her Master’s, she worked with the Our HRM Alliance at the Ecology Action Centre as a campaign assistant. In her free time, Brittney enjoys exploring Nova Scotia through various outdoor activities, such as hiking, camping, disc golfing and fly fishing, participating in recreational sports through the Halifax Sport and Social Club, cooking, gardening, and traveling both locally and internationally.
After ten years of working as a program coordinator with the Dalhousie University Faculty of Medicine, Renée Downs is pleased to be joining Mount Saint Vincent University as project administrator for the Global Aging and Community Initiative.
Renée is also a published author and founder of BlogJam Atlantic; an event that brings bloggers from all over Atlantic Canada together to collaborate and learn from one another.
Renée lives in Lower Sackville with her family but originates from Green Bay, Newfoundland where she studied theatre and earned herself a BFA from Memorial University of NL.
